Terms of Service
Last updated: 8 November 2026
Drop Your Site is operated by Bizgens Services Limited, based in Hastings, New Zealand ("we", "us"). By using dropyoursite.com (the "Service") you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
1. The Service
Drop Your Site lets you upload website files and publish them at an address such as yourname.dropyoursite.com, and optionally connect your own domain. We may fix common mistakes in your upload (for example moving files out of an extra folder) to help your site work. We cannot promise this will work for every site.
2. Who can use it
You must be at least 16 and able to form a binding contract. If you use the Service for a business or organisation, you confirm you can accept these terms for it.
3. Your content
- You own what you upload. You give us a limited licence to store, copy and deliver it so we can run your site.
- You are responsible for your content and for having the right to publish it, including text, images, fonts and code created by AI tools or others.
- Your content must follow our Acceptable Use Policy. We can remove or disable a site, without notice where reasonable, if it breaks that policy or the law.
4. Free and paid plans
- You need a free account (your email address) to publish a site. The Free plan includes 2 sites and 200 MB of space in total, at addresses like name.dropyoursite.com. We may change these limits and will give notice before reducing them. Each site you publish keeps its place in your account: you can clear a site's files and add new ones with Replace files, but clearing does not free the place up for a different site. To delete your account and everything in it, email us.
- Plus is US$9 a year (shown as US$0.75 a month, billed once a year). It renews every year until you cancel (you can cancel any time from My sites, and keep your plan until the end of the year you paid for), and adds more sites, more space and connecting your own domain.
- Lifetime is a one-time payment of US$25 with no renewals. "Lifetime" means for as long as the Service operates. If we ever close the Service we will give at least 60 days' notice so you can take your files elsewhere.
- If a Plus plan ends without renewal, you get a 30-day grace period. After that your account returns to the Free limits: a connected custom domain stops working, and sites beyond the Free limits go offline. We keep those offline sites for a further 60 days so you can renew or download your files, and then delete them.
- All prices are in US dollars and are shown at checkout. Card payments are processed by Stripe; we never see or store your full card number. Prices may change for future purchases. Existing purchases keep their price until renewal. Refunds are covered in our Refund Policy.
- Domain names you connect remain yours and are registered with your own registrar. You are responsible for renewing them.
5. Availability
We work hard to keep sites online but the Service is provided "as is" and we cannot guarantee it will always be available or error-free. Keep your own copy of your files.
6. Copyright and reports
If you believe a site infringes your rights or breaks the law, email support@dropyoursite.com with the site address and details. Use our report form or see how reporting works.
7. Our liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profits or lost data, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer protection laws that cannot be excluded, such as New Zealand's Consumer Guarantees Act where it applies.
8. Ending
You can stop using the Service and delete your sites at any time. We may suspend or end access if you break these terms or the law.
9. Changes
We may update these terms. If a change is significant we will tell account holders by email. Continuing to use the Service after a change means you accept it.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of New Zealand, and the New Zealand courts have non-exclusive jurisdiction.
